The key difference between the OEM model and ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) lies in the ownership of product design rights: In OEM, the brand takes the lead in designing the product, while the factory merely carries out production; whereas in ODM, the factory is responsible for the overall design of the product, and the brand can choose to sell it under its own brand name.
